Many municipalities and water districts across the nation are facing climate-driven impacts on the quantity and quality of the water that they supply and deliver. California is experiencing a prolonged drought with several of the driest months in the historical record. In response, localities and industries are proactively (or reactively) identifying alternative and supplemental sources to supply their feed water needs. These alternate water supplies may derive from groundwater, lakes, rivers, storm water, seawater, or even wastewater.

Each of these feed water sources has impurities requiring some additional treatment beyond that of typical tap water. W3Synergy selects from our portfolio of treatment technologies those that best suit the analytic characterization of the source of the feed water.

Nonpotable Water Treatment in Commercial & Institutional Buildings

The reuse of wastewater within a facility prior to sewer discharge is growing in prominence as a key tool in not only achieving sustainability goals but also a resilient buffer to unanticipated changes in water and wastewater allocation and utility prices. Furthermore, as with energy efficiency measures, local ordinances are increasingly requiring not only water efficiency but the installation of water reuse systems in new development projects (e.g. SFPUC).

Our mission at w3Synergy is to implement cascading reuse within both commercial buildings and industrial manufacturing plants by supplying facilities with the equipment, processes, and knowledge to reuse their wastewater thru the recovery of water, heat, by/products from their effluent.

Process Water Recovery & Reuse

Manufacturing plants benefit not only from purifying and reusing their water but within certain industries, there’s a further economic incentive to recover and isolate product, byproduct(s), solvent, etc. Thermal energy otherwise lost to the environment can be utilized to heat incoming processes or utility lines.
