Water Reuse

Aerospace suppliers are viewing non-potable water reuse as a means of meeting the demand for water while lowering the surcharges for wastewater disposal/discharge.

Nonpotable reuse water can be used as makeup for cooling towers, parts washing, cleaning the exterior surface of equipment, washdown of floors, flushing of toilets, and irrigation.

Manufacturing plants benefit not only from purifying and reusing their water but within certain facilities, there’s a further economic incentive to recover and isolate byproduct(s), solvent, etc.  Thermal energy otherwise lost to the environment can be utilized to heat incoming processes or utility lines.
